Lilliam Martinez, Psy.D., LPC
Dr. Lilliam Martinez completed her Liberal Arts/Psychology Degree from Smith College, a Master's Degree from the University of Connecticut in Educational Psychology and she received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Union Institute & University. She provides individual psychotherapy and conducts supervised psychological evaluations. Her areas of clinical interest includes working with individuals who struggle with mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, and attachment issues. Dr. Martinez works collaboratively to promote positive changes and enhance daily functioning. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, Connecticut Psychological Association, American Counseling Association, and The Association for Psychological Science.
Angelica Maria Valentine-Colon, Ph.D., contracted Psychologist
Dr. Angelica Valentín-Colón received her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico, specializing in child and adolescent psychotherapy, as well as in psychological assessments. Her clinical training emphasized evidence-based interventions in individual, family, and group therapy. Dr. Valentín-Colón’s experience is to develop culturally sensitive interventions to treat a wide variety of emotional and behavioral concerns. Her areas of clinical interest include: mood disorders, anxiety disorders, childhood trauma, attachment disorders and acculturation issues in ethnic minorities. She works from a humanistic perspective and utilizes a collaborative approach in order to promote a positive change within the individual and family.
Lalitha Pieri, Psy.D., contracted Psychologist
Dr. Lalitha Pieri received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of New Hampshire, a Master's in Counseling Psychology from River College in N.H., and her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Florida School of Professional Psychology. She has been a licensed psychologist since 2006 in CA and 2009 in CT. She has over 15 years of experience in providing individual and group therapy, as well as assessment. Dr. Pieri specializes in psychological testing, specifically personality and forensic assessment. Her experience is quite diverse, ranging from the high functioning professional to the severely mentally ill inmate. Dr. Pieri is especially interested and skilled in group therapy, issues with shame, and relationship problems. Her approach is eclectic but is derived primarily from Object Relations, Acceptance Commitment Theory, and spiritual practices.
Irena Taylor, LMFT, contracted Therapist
Irena received her master’s degree from Southern Connecticut State University in Marital and Family Therapy. She earned her license through the Department of Public Health in 2014. She is certified in Gestalt Therapy and has provided over 10 years of individual, couples, and family therapy to diverse populations in a myriad of clinical settings. Throughout her professional career, she has worked and collaborated with various providers including state agencies, school systems, medical facilities, and the court systems. Irena is trilingual and fluent in German and Bosnian. She specializes in trauma focused treatment, with a concentration in resilience and strength based counseling. Throughout her professional experience, she has utilized various evidence based treatments, to include Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Structural Family Therapy to empower couples and individuals to overcome personal obstacles and improve overall well-being.
Mark Meola, LCSW, contracted Therapist
Mark is a graduate of Boston University School of Social Work. He has over 15 years of experience providing counseling services to individuals and families in a wide variety of settings such as traditional office based outpatient treatment, intensive outpatient treatment, assertive community treatment, and inpatient psychiatric treatment. Areas of expertise include treating severe and persistent mental health conditions, addictions counseling, understanding the developmental treatment needs of adolescents and young adults, couple’s counseling, trauma treatment and working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
